If you’ve ever considered making your own comics, one good way to get started is to get yourself a graphics tablet. Along with lots of other marked-down after-Christmas items, Amazon.com has also reduced prices on computer art peripherals, including tablets.
I just bought the Wacom Bamboo Fun Medium Tablet for significantly less than its normal price; I looked at several online retailers and wasn’t able to find it cheaper anywhere. So if you’re interested in making your own illustrations, by all means check out Amazon.com
to see if any graphics tablets are within your budget.
And let me know if you produce work you’d like to show off on Growth Comics!
By the end of the summer, I’m looking to pick up a Wacom tablet.
What kind of drawing programs do you recommend?
(i.e. Corel Painter 11 or SketchBook Pro 2010)
I’m hardly an expert, but I fiddle around with Inkscape a bit. And it’s free: http://www.inkscape.org/
Thank you!
